How this tool works
Henry Meyerding’s 1932 system divides the superior endplate of the caudal vertebra into quartiles and grades the uncovered portion produced by anterior translation of the cephalad vertebra. Grades I–II are low-grade and III–V high-grade. Grade V (spondyloptosis) denotes complete dislocation with >100% slip. The percentage is calculated as (anterior translation distance / AP diameter of the caudal endplate) × 100.
