How this tool works
The Danis-Weber system (popularized by Weber after Danis) is a simple radiographic scheme keyed solely to the level of the fibular fracture relative to the syndesmosis. Type A injuries are usually stable when the medial side is intact; type B have variable stability depending on medial and syndesmotic integrity; type C imply syndesmotic disruption and are typically unstable. It maps roughly onto Lauge-Hansen patterns (A≈SAD, B≈SER, C≈PER/PAB).
