CT HU criteria (40 HU / 10 HU / 20 HU) + chemical-shift MRI dropoutAssesses diffuse hepatic steatosis: on non-contrast CT via absolute liver attenuation (<40 HU) and spleen-minus-liver difference (>10 HU), on contrast CT via a >20 HU spleen-liver difference, and on chemical-shift MRI via signal dropout and estimated fat fraction from in-/out-of-phase liver (and spleen) signal.
