Acute Cholecystitis Risk (Ultrasound + Clinical)

Patel et al. 2026 risk algorithm (with TG18/WSES context)

Risk-stratifies the probability of acute cholecystitis on gallbladder ultrasound using the data-derived algorithm of Patel et al. (2026): gallbladder distention, wall, contents, pericholecystic collections, hepatic artery PSV, sonographic Murphy sign, demographics and WBC are combined into practically excluded / reduced / elevated / substantially elevated risk, with approximate probability bands.
