Thyroid Nodule TI-RADS Tools
Several societies publish a thyroid-nodule system, and they do not produce the same points or the same size thresholds. Name the system in the report, then open that system. Volume is a separate measurement for a gland, not a nodule point score.
Educational reference for qualified professionals. Confirm the result against the source cited on the tool page and against local protocol.
Nodule systems and gland volume
The first two tools are nodule risk systems. They disagree with each other on purpose. Volume is not a substitute for either.
- ACR TI-RADS (Thyroid Nodule Risk Stratification)Calculator
ACR TI-RADS points and the size threshold that follows from them.
- EU-TIRADS / ATA / Kwak-TIRADSCalculator
EU-TIRADS, ATA and Kwak patterns, kept distinct so the report names one.
- Thyroid Volume Calculator (Ultrasound)Calculator
Thyroid lobe volume. Not a nodule classification.
- Thyroid nodule or suspected thyroid cancerVetting
What to request when the question is a thyroid nodule that might be cancer.

Why is there more than one TI-RADS calculator?
ACR TI-RADS, EU-TIRADS, ATA and Kwak are different systems with different outputs. A single blended score would report a category none of them defined. Use the calculator that names the system your department reports.
