Semiquantitative mIBG (Curie) Score
COG modified Curie scoring (Ady 1995; Yanik et al. 2018)Sums MIBG-avid disease burden across nine skeletal zones plus a soft-tissue zone, each graded 0-3, to yield the Curie score (0-30) used for neuroblastoma staging, response assessment, and prognosis.

How this tool works
The Children's Oncology Group modified Curie method grades each of ten anatomic regions on planar I-123 or I-131 MIBG scans: 0 for no abnormal uptake, 1 for a single avid focus, 2 for multiple foci, and 3 for avidity involving more than half of the region (for soft tissue, more than half of the chest or abdomen). The zone scores add to a maximum of 30. Scores above 2, particularly at the end of induction chemotherapy, identify patients with markedly inferior event-free and overall survival.
